Arven Fiercis is a young boy who dreams of becoming a world renowned hunter along with his friends Seravanna and Ferran. However, when an attack on Shoren, his hometown, causes him to be separated from his friends, Arven is forced to join the legendary Scarlet Blades all on his own. Over the course of his journey, Arven goes on a number of different hunts and is on the road to becoming a hunter known all throughout the world of Ivaria. That is until a demon presents herself to Arven and tells him that he is meant to serve a higher purpose than simply hunting for the rest of his life and that it is her responsibility to train him to be prepared for that purpose, though she will not tell him what that purpose is. Now, Arven must fight to live the life he wants to live instead of the life that is forced upon him.
