Dej ktorý vtiahne do príbehu... Narozdiel od Twilight je toto dielu v mojej knižnici nenahraditeľné (čítala som ho v 3 rôznych jazykoch) a jeho filmová verzia bola tiež v súlade s originálom. The Host alebo Hostiteľ odkazuje na naše otázky o živote mimo našej planéty... Sami sa často pýtame, či je život na iných planétach možný, či sme vo vesmíre sami alebo sú tu aj iné bytosti? V knihe na nich dostaneme odpovede formou príbehov "duše" pre deti a dospelých, ktorý sa takýmto spôsobom snažia spoznať nepriateľa, ktorý im obsadil domovy a telá ich milovaných.
