"From the Earth to the Moon" is a humorous science fantasy novel by Jules Verne, published in 1865. It follows three wealthy gun club members who construct a massive cannon to launch themselves to the moon. The story is continued in the sequel, "Around the Moon," which resolves the suspense from the first book.
