The story follows former police officer Tia, who abandoned her dream of becoming a negotiator after a failed exam. When a climate protest turns violent and she becomes a hostage, Tia sees a chance to prove herself. Three years later, she learns that the surviving hostages are being threatened, leading to a tragic suicide. Determined to uncover the truth and prevent further loss, Tia embarks on an investigation, but her past as a hostage puts her in danger, making her the target of an unknown assailant.
