In a small-town Georgia, a woman's struggle to maintain her relationships intensifies as a Confederate statue's destruction ignites community divisions. The town is split: half want the statue removed, while the other half wishes to celebrate it. Marietta, now without Harry, confronts her assumptions about those around her. Her childhood friend, Butter, unexpectedly supports her, while her sister-in-law Glinda acts out of character.
