Hollis Shaw appears to lead a perfect life as the creator of the popular food blog Hungry with Hollis and the wife of heart surgeon Matthew. However, after a heated argument with him one snowy morning, tragedy strikes when he dies in a car accident. This loss deepens the cracks in her seemingly idyllic life, particularly in her strained marriage and her complex relationship with her daughter, Caroline. In search of connection and healing, Hollis decides to host a 'Five-Star Weekend' on Nantucket, inspired by a concept where one woman invites friends from different life stages. However, the weekend quickly spirals into chaos rather than joy. Hollis's childhood friend Tatum brings along Hollis's first love, Jack Finigan, reigniting old feelings. Meanwhile, Tatum struggles to deal with the abrasive Dru-Ann, Hollis's best friend from college, whose career is threatened by a social media scandal. Hollis's friend Brooke is grappling with her husband's infidelity, and a mysterious stranger named Gigi, who reached out through Hollis's blog, adds to the weekend's unpredictability with her own secrets.
