On Vinland shores Anja and Bjorn have just settled into a new life in Leifsbidur when a Beothuk warrior pursues revenge. The couple soon find themselves at the mercy of the helmsman, Karl Karlsefni, whose dealings with the Beothuks serve only to incense animosities and threaten Viking lives. When Bjorn undertakes the impossible and risks everything to protect those he has come to call family, Anja must confront peril. Amid death and danger, two honourable souls are forced to examine their own potential for evil in a desperate bid for survival.
