Za mě úžasná kniha (i druhý díl). Čte se jedním dechem. Člověk nakoukne pod pokličku stáří, rodinných problémů, ale i nádherného světa tučňáků. Uvědomá si spoustu věcí, co by sám mohl změnit, aby tu tučňáci s námi ještě pár let byli Všechno krásně živě popsáno, člověk má dokonalý obraz, nemusí si nic domýšlet:-)

Bylo mi to doporučeno jako romantická kniha, tak nevím, přijdu si malinko mystifikovaná. Romantická linka tam jako je, dokonce dvě, zároveň je tam ale velkým tématem stáří a ztracené mládí, příjemné i nepříjemné vzpomínky na válku a samozřejmě tučňáci. Rozhořčení nad zasahováním do přirozeného běhu věcí jako zoolog naprosto chápu, to je vždycky dilema. Nebo jako nemělo by být, ale jsme lidi a navíc se nám některé druhy prostě ztrácí pod rukama. 4,5 hvězdy
