In the summer of 1984, mothers called their children home as soon as dusk fell on the Dublin suburbs. But on this warm evening, the three children did not return from the dark and quiet woods. The police found only one child, scared to death, in bloody sneakers... Twenty years have passed. Homicide detective Ryan keeps his past a secret. However, when a twelve-year-old girl is found dead in a notorious forest, Ryan, along with his partner Cassie Maddox, sets out to investigate a case surprisingly similar to an ancient mystery. Will a shred of supposedly erased memories come in handy when the chance arises to untangle a tangle of serial murders?
