We are excited to introduce Little Tim to a new generation of readers. Edward Ardizzone, born on October 16, 1900, was the eldest of five siblings. His family moved to Ipswich, England, in 1905, where he developed a fondness for coastal steamers, which frequently appear in the Tim stories. A celebrated illustrator of over 170 books, Ardizzone received the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1956 and was appointed CBE in 1971. The adventures of Tim remain beloved by readers of all ages worldwide. Ardizzone passed away in 1979.
