Set against the backdrop of a Maryland plantation in 1853, the story follows twelve-year-old Rosebud Jackson, who faces the harsh realities of slavery after a series of family tragedies. Her journey intertwines with the legendary Harriet Tubman, known as "Moses," who guides enslaved individuals to freedom via the Underground Railroad. As Rosebud embarks on this perilous quest, she must find the strength to keep up and trust in Tubman's leadership.
