his book traces the vocation of the community from its beginnings to the great international gatherings of the young and the not so young which Taize prepares in the major cities of the world. It describes Brother Roger's (The Founder of Taize) initiatives for peace, the pilgrimage, the Pilgrimage of Trust on Earth, and a number of the pilgrims express what Taize means to them. There is an account of the visit to Taize in 1986 by Pope John Paul II.
