Set against the backdrop of post-conflict Ireland, the story follows sisters Tessa and Marian Daly, who have sought refuge in Dublin after escaping the IRA. Tessa grapples with her traumatic past while trying to embrace her new life and motherhood. However, the reemergence of figures from her past forces her to confront old loyalties and a complex relationship with her former MI5 handler, Eamonn. As tensions rise with the IRA and local authorities, Tessa must navigate a dangerous web of secrets to protect her child and secure their future.
