Euripides, a prominent tragedian from classical Athens, is notable for having a significant number of complete plays survive, surpassing those of Aeschylus and Sophocles. While ancient scholars attributed up to ninety-five works to him, only eighteen or nineteen are largely intact, with many fragments remaining from others.
