S odstupem je příběh vystavěný opravdu špičkově, zejména jeho hluboké základy. Samuel Bjørk znovu mistrně klade pasti na pozorné čtenáře a postupně odkrývá temnou minulost plnou dětí, sekt a uzavřených komunit. Podobně jako v prvním díle se vyšetřování stočí k místu, které stojí trochu mimo běžný svět. Vedle hlavních postav dostávají prostor i další členové týmu, především Curry, který v soukromí bojuje se závislostí na hazardu a alkoholu, což přidává příběhu lidskou rovinu. Tentokrát mi odhalení pachatele dalo trochu zabrat, ale nakonec jsem si tip správně. To nejlepší si ale Bjørk nechává až na úplný konec. A ten rozhodně stojí za to.
