Exploring themes of adventure and nostalgia, Robinson Crusoe embarks on a new journey after settling into family life in England. Despite enjoying his domestic happiness, he yearns for his past struggles on the deserted island. Following the death of his wife, Crusoe sets sail with his companion Friday to aid the island's inhabitants. His expedition leads to attempts at establishing civilization but ends in tragedy when he loses Friday. Crusoe then travels through Brazil and Southeast Asia before returning home after a decade of adventures.
