První ze tří knih, které rozšiřují Sandman universum. Gaimanův návrat do říše snů přináší sborník příběhů o Věčných, v němž se čtenář víc seznámí se sedmi sourozenci a jejich osobnostmi. Kniha poskytuje bližší náhled na jejich vzájemnou dynamiku a snad i náznak příčiny Zkázova zmizení. Jde o velmi zvláštní čtení (aspoň pro mě), které je místy jen souborem znepokojivých koláží, slévajících se v pochmurnou změť vizuálního šílenství. Ale celkově mě kniha bavila a fakt, že se na její tvorbě podílela spousta kvalitních umělců, z ní dělá hodně zajímavé dílo.
